The view here is one of the best in La Jolla. Sitting up close to the water and watching the waves come in is a unique experience. The service is also great and the vibes here are on point. Very relaxing and elegant. The food was also quite good. The chicken pate was especially delicious. The beautiful spread of accoutrements really were delicious when paired with the warm toasted sourdough bread. Watching the sunset here would be amazing for sure unfortunately the clouds had other plans that day. Regardless, the views even on a cloudy day were still special and the food and service really helped make up for the gloomy day. Perfect place for a romantic date or to celebrate a special event. Will definitely come back in the future!

Our Bartender Kirkland was so awesome to us and made our night so memorable thank you and he did check on us after we left the bar and everyone was so friendly and Hector made our dinner and anniversary so nice as well thank you all Mike and Desiree

Zach the bartender and his compadre Kirkland really went the extra mile with a non-reservation meal with drinks. We ordered the tuna, brocolini, and mashed potatoes, excellent. The staff was accommodating even though we didn't book in advance, though I do not advise making an impromptu stop, they still treated us with respect and warm hospitality. The food was delicious, expedient, and came with an added and generous surprise. 100% recommend coming back for the views, the food, the drinks, and the welcoming, friendly staff. Keep up the great work chef, gentleman, you being the customer service excellence we all strive to see at these regal establishments. Thank you for your service, hope to see you again soon.

Oh My Goodness! The Best Birthday Of My Life Celebrated At The Stunning Marine Room! From The Moment We Arrived There Was Wonderful Service! The Valet Gentleman Offered To Take A Photo For Us! Then It Was Beauty Of The Ocean, Service Beyond Our Expeditions And Food That Made Our Mouths Water ! This Is A Five Star Restaurant And Then Some! Recommend The Marine Room Big Time!

A truly stunning restaurant with wonderful service. The mezcal passion fruit drink was great. The food to me was a bit disappointing. For the price of the dishes I feel like there should be more flavor. I got the Salmon and while it was well cooked, I expected more flavor from how the waiters were talking about the food. The carrots in the dish were amazing though. The Peruvian Tuna Crudo was similar. I expected the sauce to have more flavor. The tuna itself was very high quality. The bread however was incredible.

Restaurants by the water tend to be overrated, tasteless, and not worth the visit, but the marine room truly delivers an amazing experience and definitely worth the visit. From the warm welcome to the best service followed by unforgettable delicious food. You really can't go wrong. Did I mention they have the best views and experience of the Pacific Ocean in San Diego? The Marine Room is regularly open from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday but will open its doors on select dates for these High Tide Events to accommodate additional guests who want to witness the incredible power and majesty of Mother Nature. Come for the view, stay for the amazing service and food. It's like you are literally dining on the ocean. If you visit during high tide, the waves will come crashing on the glass window. We tried some amazing sea food here, swordfish, salmon both excellent. Filet Mignon was great too. They have good vegetarian options and the tofu in schezwan sauce is to die for! Actually their bread is to die for too! Don't miss the lavender cake, so unique and delicious.
